The photo above shows the solar panel installed beside
the OSA or Student Union Building. It shows the eco-friendly way to generate
sustainable electricity for our fellow CvSUeños.
Solar
panels are capable of producing electricity by using one of the renewable
resources in our environment, no other than the solar energy. The energy
provided by the luminous glow of the Sun. This is in the form of solar
radiation, which makes the production of ecological electricity comes into
reality.
Solar
panels or the photovoltaic (PV) cells are made from equipments and raw materials which exhibit the
“photovoltaic effect”. For instance, when a sunbeam hits the PV cell, the
photons of light excite the electrons in the cell and cause them to flow, thus generating
electricity.
They are
also considered as the silencer in producing solar electricity. There is
completely no clamorous sounds made from these solar photovoltaic panels as they harness
and convert sunlight to efficient electricity.
Photovoltaic
cells are truly commendable in preserving our natural ecosystem since their
power plants produce zero emissions in the environment. It is not only
considered as an eco-friendly way in producing electricity, it is also hailed
as an effective approach in coping with our constantly changing society.
