Emerald foliages of several floras. Serene grasslands and lawns of agricultural crops. Tranquil woods soaring upright in the azure sky. Crystalline dews from ample leaves and greenhouses’ eaves.

These imageries are not enough to portray the fortress of Cavite’s agricultural biodiversity. It is a true sanctuary of verdant vegetations blooming from its authentic environment. That is the trademark of our dear Alma Mater, Cavite State University – Main.

Since 1906, CvSU-Main has been a rich breeding ground of rich floras and faunas. This institution beholds its banner programs in relevant research and development in the field of agriculture, food technology, and environmental education. It encompasses wide range of studies, from cultivating agricultural products such as the sugar palm, dragon fruit, and rich blends of coffees, up to enriching agricultural biodiversity through quality instruction, trainings, field works, and sustainable farming.

It is really undisputed why the College of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment, and Natural Resources (CAFENR), in the name of Cavite State University, was designated as the National Training and Demonstration Center for Fruit and Vegetable-Based Products (NTDC-FVBP) on 1986, designated as the Regional College of Agriculture (RCA) for Southern Tagalog on 1993, designated by CHED as Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) Center in Agriculture, and identified as Provincial Institute for Agriculture under National Agriculture for Fisheries and Education System on 2009.
